Inter striker Mauro Icardi has described his first goal for the club as "a beautiful moment" after he struck in the 1-1 draw with Juventus in Saturday's Derby d'Italia.
The Argentine, who moved from Sampdoria during the summer, admits he was blown away by the vociferous reception from the fans after his second-half goal looked to have given the hosts maximum points before Arturo Vidal levelled shortly afterwards.
It was a beautiful moment to score my first official goal with Inter against Juventus, he told Inter TV.
I hope to continue like this and score goals against Juventus for years to come. That roar of the fans was amazing
Meanwhile, compatriot Ricky Alvarez admitted he was disappointed his side could not hold on to their advantage but acknowledged a draw was the fair result.
"It seems to me that the tie was the right result," the 25-year-old added.
We suffered immediately when Juventus levelled the score. It was a shame because if we had resisted a few more minutes we could have won. There is a bit of regret but we are all happy for what we have done.
