Valencia defender Adil Rami has hit out at the club after he was removed from the first-team squad following criticisms of head coach Miroslav Djukic.
The 27-year-old slammed the Che boss on Spanish radio after the club's dismal start to the season, during which they lost four consecutive matches prior to the weekend win over Sevilla.
As a result, Djukic reportedly told the club's president Amadeo Salvo that Rami would never be for the club again, and the Liga side have confirmed in a statement that the Frenchman will at least be left out of Wednesday's game against Granada as a result of his disrespectful comments.
Rami has now hit out at his ommission from the first-team squad, claiming the move is unfounded via a statement on his official Facebook page.
I wish to respond to the sanction which I have been given by my club Valencia CF. It is an unfounded sanction that I disagree with, it reads.
I regret this situation that dulls my relations with my club and its supporters for whom I always work with the utmost respect and the most perfect loyalty. This dispute will be settled in a sporting spirit in dialogue with the club as I always hoped and with the frankness which characterizes me.
