Mazzarri reveals Moratti team talk

Inter boss Walter Mazzarri has confirmed that club president Massimo Moratti gave his players a special team talk ahead of Sunday's Serie A clash with Sassuolo.

The oil tycoon is on the verge of selling the San Siro giants to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, meaning his reign at the Giuseppe Meazza is about to draw to an end.

Consequently, Moratti, who has been criticised in some quarters for handing Inter over to an outside party, wanted to address the players during a team meeting on Saturday.

Moratti helped me to urge the players to honour the jersey and give the best for this club, Mazzarri explained to reporters on Saturday.

I believe that if the president has taken certain decisions, he, being in love with the club, did it for the sake of Inter and this must be accepted.

Mazzarri revealed that Inter have been further boosted by the progress Argentine duo Diego Milito and Walter Samuel are making from their respective injuries.

Milito is looking much better, more agile, the former Napoli boss enthused. "I have to see how many minutes he's got in him but he's on the right path. The only thing is that we mustn't rush him.
