The Mannschaft continued their surge towards qualification for Brazil 2014 with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Austria in Group C.
Negotiations with Germany's Football Association (DFB) over extending Low's existing contract to 2016 have started, and the Bayern Munich playmaker says it would be great for Germany if they could conclude a deal.
"I would absolutely welcome his extension. I think that he has made something very, very good from our national team in recent years," Kroos, who scored on Friday, told Bild am Sonntag.
"Under him, we have to look at the huge step we've made in the quality of our football. I think he can be the coach who leads us to major titles, which we all wait for and work towards."
Kroos' versatility has enabled him to play a variety of different positions, featuring as a No.10 for Bayern while sittling deeper for Low's side.
But the 23-year-old insists he is happy to play anywhere.
"Before Euro 2012 I thought I would get a first team opportunity, but Joachim Low had a different view on that," he added.
"Now, right before the World Cup 2014, I want to show him my qualities by doing well with my club, no matter what position I play. I have been doing well in the past two years."
Germany can secure qualification for next year's tournament if they beat Faroe Islands on Tuesday and Sweden fail to beat Kazakhstan.
