Javier Mascherano feels Barcelona have a tendency to downplay their own performances as they overlook their successes in pursuit of the perfect performance.
The Catalans have enjoyed phenomenal success in recent seasons and have already claimed the Supercopa de Espana this season, yet Mascherano believes his side can bee too critical of their own triumphs - even when they equalled the Liga points record when securing the 2012-13 title.

"The team won the league, registering 100 points in the process, and yet it seems as though it’s not a great achievement.

Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid on the away goals rule to win the Supercopa de Espana after a 1-1 draw at Vicente Calderon and a 0-0 stalemate at Camp Nou.
